Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.
Chiropractic services are used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches. Learn more (PDF)
Typically, bodywork is concerned with the soft tissue throughout the body, commonly focusing upon the muscular tissue in particular. There are many disciplines within the field. We have directed our approach to the most scientifically sound methods, based upon current research. These include, the following, among several others:
Dr. Michael Majancsik is level 3 certified by the ACRB. The American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (ACRB®) is a professional organization dedicated to providing continuing education and training for Chiropractors who wish to offer their patients the latest treatments and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques. Helping patients attain their best level of health and mobility is our constant goal, and we do that with the specialized training and certifications offered through the ACRB®. Combining the science of Chiropractic with Rehabilitation has been proven to help patients feel better and live more active lives!
The ACRB establishes a strict criteria of education, testing and review processes that ensure an ACRB Chiropractor has the knowledge and skills to provide you with the latest methods and treatments to help you achieve optimum health.
The organization overseeing Chiropractic Rehabilitation is the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (ACRB). Less than 1% of Chiropractors are certified by this organization. Less than 1/3 of 1% are level 3 certified or better.
In 2016 he completed a fellowship in applied functional science, FAFS. This organization is the premier movement based therapy program world-wide. Less than 1000 practitioners throughout the world hold this designation, less than a dozen are chiropractors.
Applied Functional Science (AFS) is based on scientific truth-not theory- that strategically links to the most effective and efficient techniques for the individual. AFS influences and enhances the entire Movement industry-performance/training and conditioning, prevention and rehabilitation.
AFS is the convergence of sciences that allows for purposeful movement. The convergence of Physical Sciences (the world we live in), Biological Sciences (the miracle of the human body) and Behavioral Sciences (the power of the mind and spirit) is the DNA of AFS. For the Physical Sciences, the truths of Environment, Gravity, Ground Reaction Force, Mass, and Momentum are considered and leveraged. For the Biological Sciences, the truths of Motion, Reaction, Proprioceptors, Muscles, Joints, Task, Specificity, and Mobility/Stability are considered and leveraged. For the Behavioral Sciences, the truths of Success, Encouragement, Relevance, and Significance are considered and leveraged.
The above truths are the foundation and the starting point to AFS’s Principle-Strategy-Technique Process. Principles are the why of movement. Strategies are the how of movement. Techniques are the what of movement. AFS is the answer to these questions so that the best, most effective and efficient movements can be applied to any and all individuals based on specific needs, wants, and goals.
Dr. Majancsik was a personal trainer for 10 years before beginning his Chiropractic education. There are 3 elite fitness certifications within the industry, based upon my research:
Dr. Michael Majancsik has studied their material and holds several certifications with these organizations.
Dr. Michael Majancsik has studied nutrition for over 40 years, formally including 2 years of graduate level education, also completing Functional Medicine University’s program. He has done much additional self-study within the field and focuses on those methods that have solid footing within nutritional science.
Many people who seek medical care do not have a clinically identifiable disease or pathology. Their problems are based on what Dr. Majancsik calls "derangements or blockages in normal physiology" and present as dysfunctions in one or more organ system that left unchecked would ultimately lead to disease and pathology.
